Hey everyone, My name's Led and I am the creator of Jetpulse Studios. I'm also an dad raising a son who is on the autism spectrum. I started this discussion for parents, friends, and family can come and discuss the things that concern them and hopefully find answers to help their loved ones.
I figured that this would be a great way to start things off. So I want to ask you guys a serious question. My son Jacob was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4. Potty training has always been an issue because he didn't get the concept until he was around 5. But now, at 10 years old, he's been having trouble with going to the bathroom on his own. He refuses to do it by himself. Sometimes, we'll (my family and I) will have to stand outside the door as he goes. He rushes in fear to finish and it sometimes causes accidents. I've asked for advice with several therapists, but I never get a straight answer.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
